Terms and Policies for Individuals



Online Orders

Hawkes Learning Systems/Quant Systems (“HLS”) reserves the right to review all orders at which point we may accept or decline any order for any reason, regardless of any confirmation receipt sent to the customer.  All orders must be reviewed for pre-approval and acceptance. Cancellations can be made on any order that has NOT shipped. 



Individual Return Guidelines

HLS software is a licensed product.  Registering the software license number is required to obtain access to the HLS software.  Once the software license number has been registered, it can only be used by the registered owner.

Once a software package is opened or the license number is registered, the software is considered “used” and therefore non-returnable and non-refundable.  Items in which the shrinkwrap or other seal has been broken are considered “opened” and will not be accepted for return.

Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Defective items can be exchanged for the same item ONLY.

All exchanges and returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.

An RMA must be requested within 30 days of the original purchase date. Thereafter, all sales are final.

All returns, with the exception of a defective exchange, are subject to a 20% Restocking Fee.

All items must be returned in "as new" condition in the original packaging.  No refund or credit will be given for items returned opened or with missing contents.

The returned package must be received within 20 business days of the RMA issue date.

When returning products, we strongly recommend the use of a carrier that can track packages. You also assume responsibility for insuring the returned item.



Shipping

HLS retains ownership of all products until the point of payment has been received and product delivered, at which time ownership is given to the said customer.  Shipping charges are applied to all orders.  HLS does not ship US mail, therefore we are unable to deliver to PO, APO, and FPO box addresses.  HLS reserves the right to choose the shipping carrier.



Freight Policy

Shipping charges will vary depending on the size and weight of order.

At HLS, we strive to make returning products easy and efficient, provided certain guidelines are followed. Please review our return policies before requesting an RMA.



Items Damaged in Transit

Should an item appear to be damaged in transit, please refuse delivery and contact HP/QS as soon as possible. We will issue an RMA immediately, and ship you a replacement product right away. If you are unable to refuse delivery of a damaged product, please follow one of the following return request methods.



Requesting A Product Return

Feel free to select one of the following ways to request a return:

1. Send your request via email to bookstore@hawkeslearning.com. Please include your order number.

2. You may contact Customer Service at (843) 571-2825 from 8:30AM to 5:30PM, Monday through Friday, Eastern time.



After Receiving Your Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number

Write your RMA number legibly on the outside of each box in the shipment.

Return the entire package with a copy of the original invoice to:

Packages without an AUTHORIZED HLS RMA number will be refused back to the sender.



Crediting Your Account

Credit or refund will be issued within 14 business days of receiving your return.  Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.
